Two versions of the bookplate for the Wizard of Oz book! The left one will have a border and text in silver foil, and the right one in gold. I’m thinking that everyone who gets one book with a bookplate will get the left one, and everyone who gets two will get one of each. They’ll be signed under the line.
The Kickstarter for the book is still happening! I added some push goals yesterday. Thank you everyone!
Dorothy now took Toto up solemnly in her arms, and having said one last good-bye she clapped the heels of her shoes together three times, saying:
“Take me home to Aunt Em!”

I drew (I think) the last of the spot illustrations yesterday, and there are 63 of them! So 87 total pictures in the book. There might be a little more too; I’m considering making some quiet little “epilogue” pictures showing where the different characters are said in Chapter 23 to end up.

It was, indeed, a great yellow Wildcat, and the Woodman thought it must be chasing something, for its ears were lying close to its head and its mouth was wide open, showing two rows of ugly teeth, while its red eyes glowed like balls of fire.
Opener for Chapter 9! This is an unusual one: they’re off the road and separated from the Lion, and it starts abruptly with the wildcat and the mouse. The red haze in the distance is the poppy field from Chapter 8.
Did you know I have a new book out? It’s the first book of my fantasy adventure comic Vattu and I am pretty pleased with it. Also a few originals lately, and more to come. Holding onto the Oz originals until the book is done, though!

In the center of the chair was an enormous Head, without a body to support it or any arms or legs whatever. There was no hair upon this head, but it had eyes and a nose and mouth, and was much bigger than the head of the biggest giant.
Each of the incarnations of Oz gets its own little spot illustration, to be posted over the next couple days.
A little way off was a small brook, rushing and sparkling along between
green banks, and murmuring in a voice very grateful to a little girl
who had lived so long on the dry, gray prairies.
